I use this mirror everyday to put on my make-up, and I use the 5x side to pluck my eyebrows. I have very poor lighting and I love the fact it has 4 light settings. It works very well for my use. I just hope when the bulbs die I don't have problems locating them.

i use this mirror everyday, especially the 5x side. Im blind as a bat up close and the 5x side is great. But 2 of the bulbs went out and can't seem to find the replacements anywhere. even a major lighting company where I live doesn't even have in their catalogs to order. The settings are great they match to the type of makeup i am wearing. i would recommend this product. Give it a try.

The lighting needs to be much, much brighter as the previous model.I am trying to replace the 2 low watt bulbs with higher watts

My old model is dying. The new model's lighting is very poor for applying makeup. If you redo the model, please make the lighting quite bright to truly reflect daylight (sunny day).

These things used to have triple-view side mirrors. Those side mirrors made best use of the light and let you see all angles of your face, not just straight-on. Another minor detail I noticed, as well, is the magnification vs. regular image swivels vertically. They are more user friendly if they swivel horizontally because you can adjust the angle quickly and frequently, rather than messing with the "easel back" of the whole mirror.
Still bought one for myself and one for my daughters. Really I'm hoping product development reads this.
It's a great product, that could be much better.
