I purchased this dryer over 4 years ago and it still works great. Hadn't realized how long I had it until a friend who was in for the weekend mentioned how much she loved it and she's going out to buy one of her own.

She also commented that it was really great because it dried her hair extremely fast and left it smooth enough that she didn't need the flat iron at all. She has one of the ionic ones at home and has to follow the dryer with the flat iron to get the same look.

I streighten my bangs and use the defuser occassionally on my long naturally curly hair. Usually I let most it of air dry. The defuser is hard to attach...that's my only complaint. This is my second of the same...the old was was roughly 8 years old...it's time! The fan went out by making horrible noises! Thanks Conair...love your dryer!

This dryer worked ok for a while. I think it is still pretty loud for a "quiet dryer" like the description suggest. At first it worked ok, but now everytime I try to dry my hair, the handle gets really hot. There must be something wrong with the wiring would be my guess. Seems pretty dangerous, and I will discontinue use. It also has hot and cool. It either gets really hot, or it is too cool. I wish it had a warm setting.

The darn thing stopped working only after 5 uses and we had only purchased 4 months prior. Could not take it back to the store, so had to pay postage to have it fixed or replaced. The problem with the hair was with the ground fault switch; just stopped working. I don't feel I should have to pay shipping but what can you do. It's like anyother product on the market, not designed or made to last.

I use this hair dryer every day and I love it! It has various uses, settings and is fairly compact. Great product for the money and they last a long time! The only thing I don't like about it is that the cord doesn't retract like my old one.
