Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I use my Hairsetter EVERY morning and I love it. I have had it about 8 years and have never had a problem with it except my rollers are starting to wear and so since I cannot be without it, I decided to order a new one. Thank you Conair for making such a reliable product --- and my boss and the office probably would thank you if they saw me BEFORE I use it!

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

This product is great and I have been using it for years. Keeps the hair soft and does not overheat or dry hair. The only problem is with the clear plastic top that cracks easy with heat and eventually cracks more and falls apart and there will be need for new on. Otherwise, the quality of the product is great.

I wish the manufacturer would use a better quality plastic or non plastic object for the door on this wonderful hair setter.

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I like the quick heating, but need four extra rollers to create the curl/volum that I require. As I live an hour plus away from stores that may sell replacement parts such as extra rollers and clips, being able to go online for them would be great. I do alot of my shopping online.

I wash & dry put no frizz product on, set and leave the house. When the rollers are cold I take them out & run the brush through my just longer than shoulder length hair. The majority of the curl lasts all day. I get many compliments on my hair. I'm cheap, but feel the investment I made in this product was WELL WORTH IT!

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

This hairsetter is great. I have thick hair and it works perfectly. I like the way it gives me curly but it isn't too dramatic. It definitely isn't time consuming. With my hair it takes about 45 minutes where as a curling iron takes about 2 hours.

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

This product is great when you want to do your hair fast and keep it healthy. Although, for days where I have the extra time I'd much rather use a curling iron because it's easier for me. The wire clips..never figured out how to use them. I use the white claw hair clips, which are really easy to use. I have a lot of hair so 12 rollers are not nearly enough. I need to buy another 12 rollers because I have to do half my hair, wait, then do the other half. I wouldn't recommend this for people who have a lot of hair unless you're willing to buy more than one of these.

I'm an eighties girl and after purchasing my "first" new rollers in 15 years,I was excited for what I thought was going to be advanced set of curlers. Now I wish I would have kept my old ones. These did heat up quickly but that was the only good quality. The worst part was that I couldn't get the clip to stay in my hair.

I bought these for my mom about 2 years ago and now she hardly ever gets them back. They are all the same size which is nice because it gives a nice even curl and they are just the right size. I need to just buy my own set!

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I've had my set for about 5 years. I love it. My lid has never cracked like others say, but I don't keep the lid closed while it's heating. I've never had a problem with the curlers not getting hot with the lid open. I plug them in when I get out of the shower, and they're ready to use when my hair is dry. The only problem is there are only 12 rollers in the box. I like to use a lot of rollers. So I bought a second set. I use the ConAir Pro clips. They hold the rollers very well and create less of a "dent" in the hair than other clips do, and they don't snap out of the hair like the wire clips that come with it. When I'm done, I let the rollers fall out of my hair, then flip my head upside down, shake it, flip it back up and hualah, my hair is combed. Set it with some hairspray, and I'm good to go. It has never caused any damage to my hair.

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I "borrowed" my mom's hot rollers from the 80's and absolutely loved them. She wanted them back so I bought this set, they are horrible. I have medium length, thick hair and the curl left much to be desired and didn't last but a couple of hours. I tried them on my daughters hair, short and thick and the curls fell out almost immediately. I've tried many different kinds of rollers and I guess they just don't make them how they used to. It's a shame. My advice, if you have thick hair, try another set.

Good buy for the money

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I've had my set for over two years now. I travel on business and my set has endured almost 200 airplane loadings and unloadings, while packed in my suitcase. The lid is cracked and chunks keep coming off with each trip. As the lid is necessary to achieve the 2 minute heat cycle in 2 minutes, and Conair does not offer a replacement lid at this time, mine is held together with duct tape. Why do I keep a set of rollers that is unsightly? They work beautifully. I am Native American, so my hair is straight, ultra-thick and wiry. My hair does not want to curl! These curlers heat quickly and hold their heat long enough to have an effect on my hair, without any damage that I’m aware of. I have noticed that the longer they are plugged in, the hotter they get. This may be because my lid is “broken” or it could be they continue to heat as long as they are plugged in. The edges do get hot if left plugged in for more than 30 minutes, but when used properly, they remain cool to the touch as they should. These curlers leave my hair shiny, bouncy and best of all – curled! If I could change two things they would be 1) offer a stronger lid or at least a replacement part lid and 2) make the same set with more curlers.

Not Too Hot!

Cons:
Not Enough Heat
Best Uses:
Daily Use, Thinner Hair
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I have had this set for about a year. It still works, but has never gotten hot enough. Let's just say WARM. I turn it on about an hour before I use it to try to get it as hot as possible. I do like the flocked curlers better than the other kind that has "teeth." Got rid of that set because it got so hot I could not hold the curlers. I also have the blue set of flocked curlers with multiple sizes. I really like it--gets hot (but not too hot) and is gentle! Also, the plastic lids on all of these Conair sets is very flimsy-eventually they break.

Cons:
I have gone through 3 set
Best Uses:
Daily Use
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I love the size of the curlers and they are easy to use with the venus fly clips. Unfortunately, I have gone through 3 sets and all with the same problem. The plastic lid always cracks in half due to the heat. This then forces me to have no choice but to purchase another and another. I dont feel that this should be something that should only last as long as 5-6 months or so.I hope the new sets are better than all the others.

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

I have used hairsetters since the early 70s. This is by far the best I have ever used. My hair grows fast and I cut it for Locks of Love every couple of years, so it goes from long to short to long etc. This setter worked well for both long and short styles. The only con is that the heat cracked the lid and it takes longer now to heat up. If I had a new lid, it would be like brand new. A few more curlers would also help, expecially with the long styles.

Comments about Conair Instant Heat Hairsetter with Ceramic:

The only thing is that the rims of rollers are rather hot so my thumb gets a little uncomfortable while rolling! Other than that, I am HOOKED!

I was skeptical at first but I was amazed and wowed by the results!!!! And I am African American, so it works on different hair types and that is phenomenal!!!
