My hair is very short right now and requires very little time to make it look decent.
This curling iron is perfect for that reason alone and I have a bad back so it's pretty painful for me to have to stand in one place to do my hair. With the cordless iron, I can walk around and stretch or whatever to relieve the pain.
The only thing I can find wrong with it is once in a while I get a cartridge that just doesn't fit right and won't stay lit.
That's it. This curling iron is simple and easy to use. Not much BLING, but plenty of BANG!!

I love this little thing... All my co-workers have complimented me on my curls everytime I use it. They think it was done by a professional. When I show them the curler, they cannot beleive that its what I used...AMAZING! They have never seen this curler before and wish they had. I love it and wish they would promote the product more. I have had a number of propane curling irons (brushes). And I am sad that they can no longer be so readily found. They have saved my social life on many ocassions. I am in a hurry, so as we drive to the event, I am curling my hair, smoothing it, whatever is needed.
I have never had a incident using them and I have been using them for over 20 years.
I have never seen an ad for these and that is why more people don't know about them.
It's sad that they are so hard to find now.

This is the best product I have owned. I original bought one back in 1985(bad hair day-HUMIDITY. People couldn't believe how great my hair looked when I came back from lunch that day. They thought I had gone to the salon. I wore that one out and couldn't find the product.
For several years I was without one and used another brand(waste of money). Then in 1995, I found the Conair again and bought it. And it's still working today. People think I'm crazy when I talk about my cordless curling iron. So I have to take it and show it to them. I was able to buy the butane cells where I work, but not the iron. I would like to have a second one just in case. This product should be back in stores. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Use it daily. Much easier to use than electric types. I have an disability with my hand and this is much easier for me to use. It usually holds hair in place while curling much better than other irons I have used and results in a tighter curl from it vs standard plug in. It is VERY difficult to find the gas refills in retail stores and have not seen the iron anywhere I have shopped. I have a much older model, length of this iron needs to be increased to the same length of older model (which is 10 + years old and is STILL working.)

This is the best curling iron & brush product I have ever used. I am 76 yrs old. I do my hair every day & I find this easy to handle, store & pack when traveling.
I cannot find these in Canada So have to get several at a time when I visti relatives in USA.

This is the best product I have ever bought and used. It works great. Heats up fast, easy to change out the different tools, small and handy, doesn't take up practically no space what so ever. Have the original Model that I bought in the 80's. Still works great. I love it! If that's not a testimonial, don't know what is. This thing has been around the world with me to over 22 different cities. I take it everywhere. I particularly love the way it heats up fast and the sleeve covers the heated part if I have to pack it quick. I don't have to wait for it to cool. Just put the sleeve back on and shove it in my bag. Compact. Makes my curly hair straight or my straight hair (when I blow it out) curly. I hope they never stop making it.

Use it all the time. In my car, at home and I take it with me when I travel. I like the way it works, how fast it heats up and the cartridges last really long. I use it with the brush or just the clip part. I don't see how anyone that has one or has tried one, wouldn't like it. Very convenient!

I travel a lot and this is so convenient. No plugs, I can use it traveling down the road, when overseas I don't have to worry about converters. I cannot travel without it. I carry one in my purse all the time. When we camp, it comes it very handy.

This is a great curling iron! I bought one about 20 years ago, used it all the time when I travel until I LOST it:~(. I can't find it in any of our stores so I just ordered another one. I have been using this product for at least five years, and it works as well as when brand new! I have been using it through many changes of hairstyles, from very short to shoulder length. The cartridges are easy to find in the stores at a reasonable price, and they each last for many months of use. I absolutely LOVE it!

I would love to try the larger barrel size too, but would need a protective cover like the current smaller travel one. Any chance of you carrying one anytime soon? I hesitate taking it when traveling by air because I am afraid that the thermolcells will not pass homeland security checks, even in checked baggage.

I've owned two Conair Thermacell cordless curling irons, I absolutely love them; they go with me everywhere-literally! Only problem I've experienced is that the ignitor switch does wear out, then I have to get a new curling iron - I'm just going on my third now, because of the igniter switch issue.

I've never been so glad to shop on line. I have two, one a bit larger for looser curls. In this world of disposable junk, I Thank CONAIR for making a durable, lasting product! Also, with 3 chronic pain disorders--I'm almost bed-bound, but fixing up helps my attitude. These light curlers give me a chance to do my hair without twisting, tangling and spinning in my scooter--while locked to a plug. I also have trouble holding up my arms without muscle spasms. Now, it's easy to rest my elbow on a knee and fix my hair where or whenever.

I hope you carry this product forever as I can't live without one. Whether you're traveling on a cruise or through several countries, you don't have to worry about the power supply. You can even look good camping now! I have an extra one in my car for touchups as needed during the day as we do have drizzly weather here in the Seattle area. I've even curled my hair as a passenger in the car. I also use it at home all the time, even though I have an electric one. With it, I don't have to fight a cord and it is fast to use. It's great for travel as the outlets don't always reach where they have a mirror. I've recommended it to so many women who also thought it was great. The only problem is that it isn't always available in the drug stores in this area. I'm glad I can get it online. Thanks for giving me the chance to share my thoughts with others. I love it!

I have been using this product exclusively since the 80's---it would never occur to me to use a regular plug-in curling iron! A thermacell curling iron is SO much easier to use and so very much more convenient, at home and while traveling. This is one of the best items I own! Not just for travel abroad but also when going around from my various work places at home. Just toss it your purse or luggage & go! It's a real plus to not have to worry about plugging it into an electrical outlet, especially abroad. Ever since Braun stopped selling their cordless models this is about the only one I can find. I own at least 2 & am thinking of buying another.

I love this cordless curling iron! Please, please, please, CONAIR, please do not stop making it! I have used the CONAIR cordless curling iron since the 1980s. It is so convenient! I personally think it gets hotter than an electric curling iron. But now I do not own an electric curling iron - I use my CONAIR cordless curling iron every day: at home, in my car, at work, while traveling, etc.
However, I cannot find the cordless curling iron in stores and I have hard time findng the thermacells in stores. Thanks for selling both items on your website.

I can't think of anything I don't like about this product. I bought my first one 12 years ago & it just died on me. This product is durable & versitile. You can use it anywhere. I have been using these curlers for about 15 years. It is perfect when traveling, no need for an electrical adjuster for foreign travel, works in a car, a boat or R.V. In fact, it works anywhere. I actually did a touch-up while riding in the limo to our daughter's wedding.I had started using one when spending a lot of time on our sailboat. We now have a power boat with a generator, but I continue to use it all the time, on the boat or at home, as it gives me the curls I want - not to large, not too tight.My only "con" is that I cannot find them in stores anymore. [...] For years I have kept one at home and one on the boat, but when one stopped working recently, I have not been able to find a store that carries them now. My worst fear was that they were no longer being made. After checking the website and finding that they are still being made, I will order TWO new ones. I love my Con Air Cordless Curling Iron BUT when I travel and go to find a refill cartridge no store has them in stock or even knows what I am asking for. The only place I have not yet checked out is Walmart and will do so today but I am home and no longer in need as when I am on the road. Hopefully , I will find them today for the next time I travel.

Have recommended it often. The problem is, it is just not easy to find in stores. The only one that carried it (Bi-Mart in Woodburn, OR) has discontinued it, although they still sell the cells.
I have looked many times in other Department stores without success.
I now will purchase another one for my RV and because I am afraid one of these days I won't be able to find one anymore.

This is my second purchase - the first one I bought was several years ago and today I was browsing the ConAir web site to see if they still sold the ThermaCell's and found they have a brand new ThermaCell Iron. Now I can have one at work and in the RV. You must own one of these if you travel or you are running a bit late for work. It only takes a few minutes and unlike other products, the iron is HOT and CURLS your straight hair. You will love this product and I am happy to know that ConAir still sells it. By the way, I have never taken the time to write a review for anyone. This is really worth it!
