Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

This is probably the best product for its price. It heats fast and gets the job done. I have long, thick hair and it takes my an average of 20 minutes to straighten my whole head. And that's getting everything.

My problem is at the tip (open end) it heats; and there are bumps for grabbing there for better pressure. It doesn't heat up to the straighteners temperature, but enough to make your finger tips sensitive.

Another problem, I don't know what happened to mine, but I was using it and I left the bathroom for about 5 minutes, and when I came back it started to turn off and wouldn't heat up again. I've tried multiple times but it just doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's the product or me, but that's what happened.

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

Well I've only had this straightener for about...three months. And I was excited to get a new one, but at the same time; knowing how conairs straighteners usually affect my hair, I wasn't SUPER excited. The one thing that bothers me most, since I go to school and do activities and such, my hair does NOT stay straight past third period -_- even with straightening products, i have long, thick, and VERY curly hair. So this product doesn't help much.

OMG I bought it not knowing how well it would work, but when I got it home I was shocked how good it was. I love it !! If you don't beleive me listen to this - my friend has one of the very expensive conair straightener and it took 2 hours to get my hair straight. Then I bought this and my hair was strait in 5 min. So good only takes 30 sec. to heat. I have really thick long bananna curls and I could never straiten my hair for more than 20 min witthout it going back to the curls but this straightener keeps the straight for 3 days !!!! SO GOOD MAKES A GOOD GIFT FOR A TEENAGER ~ trust me : ] <3

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

I have had this straightener for about a year now and i use it about two times a week. It really does work great, and it gets my hair nice and straight. I would not reccomend it to someone with dignified curls, or very tight curls. I have a few of those and I have to go over them a few times, which damamges my hair. Otherwise, if you have medium thickness hair I would absolutely reccomend it.

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

When I first bought this product I was in love. I used it every other day and it left my hair straight but would create static. Then one day all of a sudden it stop heating up and I only had it for like 4 months. When it broke I was disappointed because a Conair product should have lasted way longer and not gave me split ends. Even with the limited one year warranty I wouldnt want this iron again for it might break down again

i haven't used it when my hair was wet but it worked great. the last conair flat iron i had did the job, but made my ends dry. this one brought my hair back to life. the end are soft and smooth like i just go a hair cut. and since it uses steam it won't frizz. but you should use a heat protector on it, one that conditons ur hair though so it will stay smooth and keep hair from getting any damage.

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

I liked this straightener a lot and had it for about a year and half. It was pretty hot and I was happy with it because it did it's job. Only things that really stunk were that it burned me sometimes when the steam would come out, it was bulky and bangs were very hard to straighten. Also, the little comb in the middle just would create strange bumps at my roots. After a year and a half one day i turned it on and after 20 minutes, it just did not get hot at all.

I have thick-ish wavy hair and this straightener did not work! It takes me an hour to straighten my hair on a high setting and still doesnt completely straighten my hair. When i tried to use it wet it just made my hair look frizzy. It also damaged my hair. Dont make the mistake of buying this product.

This product, isn't very bad, but.. it just doesnt straighten very well. I use this daily, and I am now raising money for a new one. I will straighten it in the morning, and it would keep pretty decent till i step outside to go to school. It cringes and unstraightens after 30 minutes. It was working well the first few days, but it is not a very good straightner.

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

Ugh! I had this for about a year... then I turned it on one morning, and it was dead. Just did not heat up! I was so dissapointed... I had to buy one from the Infiniti collection immediately, because I have really thick, frizzy, puffy hair. It did not work that well- I always had that sort of wave around the part of my hair that looks so bad, and it never really straightened damp hair, it would just make the water partially evaporate, and then it dried all frizzy... The infiniti worked SO WELL. Then, it just decided not to heat up either... But I still bought another Conair straightener. If it just breaks one day, my faith is lost.

I don't know, the picture looks like they made a few changes. Hopefully, the quality is better.

It did do it's job for the first 5 months but then just stopped heating up. Both lights just carry on flashing as though it's waiting to get to the temperature but no heat.

Reading the posts here it's not the first time. Pay that little extra and get a better quality hair straightener from another company ;-)

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

I use this product nearly everyday. It works well with my hair but my split ends have gone overboard. One morning after I got out of the shower, I dried my hair then plugged my straightener in. A minute or so later I went back to straighten my hair but it wasn't hot. I left it in for a while longer but after 10 minutes the ceramic plates were still cold as ice. i dont understand why it just stopped working. I've had this straightener for less that 6 monthes and it already broke?! Thats not what I call acceptable. I spent good money on it and expected it to last at least 2 years if not longer and it didnt even last half that long. Oh well.. The next straightener i get will definatly not be this one. It was good while it lasted.

Not a bad straightener for its price. It makes hair soft and smooth, but during the straightening process the plates don't smooth over the hair very well, but instead kind of catch, doing damage to the ends.

i have pretty thick hair and it works great and heats up quick as well. the downside is i have to use a lot of heat protection spray or you end up killing your hair with split ends. i've had it for about 2.5 yrs and haven't had any problems with it. if you use a lot of product it tends to be really hard to clean off the plates.

Comments about Conair Dry N Straight 1 " Ceramic Straightener:

I bought this product about 2 years ago and used it since then-- it worked great for my hair (besides giving me a few split-ends) and was a great value for what it gave me. But just yesterday it suddenly stopped working- it usually only takes about 30 secs to heat up; I looked at it after 10 min, and its plates were still cold...
I made sure it was plugged in, that it was all in one piece, etc, and tried again today, but it still doesn't work. The lights blink, but nothing seems to heat up at all. It was really weird (and I was pretty upset--seeing how this thing meant the world to me..). I really don't know what might've happened- I guess it's just time to get a new one and move on? I mean, I have had it for a little over 2 yrs. But besides that, haha, this staightner couldn't have been better. It did the job nicely. I just really wish it would start working again! Aghhh...
