My friend has this iron and used it on my curly hair two times. I love it because it makes my hair smooth and straight. Me thinks I should add it to my beauty collection as my old iron does not work efficiently anymore, and takes far too long. The thick ceramic plates on this infiniti iron allows you to take a wider chunk of hair, which in return, shortens "straightening" time.

My hair is long, very thick and curly. I have tried MANY straighteners and this one is one I would buy again should my current one die on me. I put in thermal protectact frizz control, let my hair air dry, section it off with clips and go to it. Since I cut my hair up to my bra strap, it only takes me about 25 minutes to straighten everything, and that is taking my time. With this, I could straighten my thigh-length hair with little difficulty. My hair shines, is smooth and the style can last for up to three days.

the infiniti is so great! it saved me from my old straightner which took me about an hour to get my hair somewhat straight with. the infiniti takes me about 15-25 mins, and i have super-thick and pretty curly hair. it heats up fast, works well and keeps the heat through the whole use. i take it everywhere i go. the only things i dont like are that the 2" one is kinda big and bulky, and it stays hot a long time after you shutit off.

I bought this straightener a couple of years ago and it still works great. I have long and really wavy hair and it only takes me about 5 mins to straighten my hair. I am also surprised at how durable it is, i have accidentally dropped it on the floor numerous times and it still works like new. I have also sprayed hair spray on the plates and it did not leave any residue or make any mess. I have recommended the product to friends, i think it is great, it heats up REALLY fast, it straightnes hair fast, it is durable, and not very bulky.

This product works. Unfortunately, I was looking for a little more. The two sides of the straightener don't come together all the way, forcing you to clamp down the other side while you work... meaning you have to use two hands. Also, the product is heavier and bulkier than I would like to use. It heats up quickly but you have to stop every few minutes so that it will heat itself up again. It's also very difficult to make my hair curl under at the bottom with this straightener. Others that I've used are curved at the edges, which allow the option of curling under/out your hair at the bottom. So in summary, this product will straighten your hair but not with the ease and agility that other straighteners (like hot tools or the chi)provide.

I used this product as a straightener after I blow-dried it. I have thick/coarse hair and it just didn't do what I needed it to.After about 4.5 months it would not get as hot as it used to when I first got it. It would constantly shut off, while I was still in use of the product. The price however, is decent.This product probably works better if you have hair on the thinner side.

It is so great because it heats up fast, it straightens really well, it makes my hair silky and shiny, it's thick plates straighten a lot of my hair at the same time. The only think I would do to make this amazing product better would be to add something to take out tangles while you straighten. Overall this product is fabulous!!!

I absolutely love this hair straightener! I got it last December for Christmas and it is still working like its new. I use it just about every day and to the highest heat. I bring ti on vacations with me and even when i go camping. I have such curly and frizzy hair that if you ever saw me..you would never know that.

Pros

I absolutely love my flatiron! I have had my straightener for well over a year and it's still working just fine. I have long hair and don't really like all that fluffy curly mess. I love to wear my hair straight. I have looked at the more expensive irons, but this one works just fine. It gets my hair straight. My hair feels like pure silk when I'm finshed. It's just flows in the wind. I like the fact that it doesn't get so hot that it burns your hair. Yet it gets hot enough to get your hair nice and straight and does it without leaving your hair with that burnt smell. I don't use my flatiron every day. I only use it once after I've washed and blow dried my hair. I keep my hair wrapped and covered with a satin cap when I sleep. So, there's no need to use it every day.


Cons

The things I don't like about the iron are that I usually have to go over my hair a couple of times. I use small pieces of hair at a time and use good pressure when holding the plates together. I tend to use my finger tips to squeeze the plates together and there isn't a good cool spot to hold. I try holding it on the rubber part, but I'm unable to get good pressure when I hold onto the rubber part. It takes a while to do my hair because I have to go over it at least twice to get it nice and silky straight like I like it. You also have to use small portions of hair because it snags the hair on the edges. If you keep the hair in the middle and use small sections, then you won't have too many problems with snagging. I wish they would have put the controls on the inside of the handle. I hit the buttons often and have to keep cutting it back on.

The product is amazing, I used it at least twice a week and got fantastic results every time. I live in FLorida where it is humid, but this thing could handle that! It is the only hair straightner i would ever want, If it would not die in less than a month. I have had two of these. THe first one lasted three moths and the next one lasted less than one month. I am heart broken!

Product works well on dry or almost completey dry hair. I had purchased it in hopes that it would dry my damp hair more quickly than it does. Also tends to make hair look flat (no volume) if you use it to straighten damp to dry. Hair appears more damaged after use on damp hair. But looks smooth & shiny when used on dry hair.

It heats up super quick & has a very long cord, if you are looking for something like that. Teeth/comb that is built in works well. This prevents snagging & needing to go over the same section time & time again.

Very easy to use.

I have used many different straighteners over the years and I thought that this was the best one by far... at first. I got it a year ago and since then, a plate has cracked from just falling off my dresser, the whole thing came apart and the hinge and it takes longer to heat up now. It works really well on my friend's hair who has a slight wavy. For my curly hair it will straighten it then in 10 mins I will get a flip.

This straightener is absolutely amazing . It works well in all conditions . All flat irons will do a bit of damage to your hair , but if you're mindful of the temperature then you should be fine . I use this straightener every day and as long as I use heat protection spray it's okay . This straightener is comparable to it's much pricier competition .

well i had goten the straightner as a christmas present and it worked really good on my hair, it did alot of damage to my hair though. it was really dry, my ends were all burnt, and my hair fell out kinda easily. about 5 monthes later i started having problems with it, it kept turning of like every 2 minutes and i had to keep turning it back on, now its even worse! it wont even turn on anymore, i think it has really bad wiring.

I have curly,frizzy,dry hair i use this product daily and it amazes me how soft,shiny,clean and most important frizz free my hair comes out. I have it for almost 3 months and still works the same way as it did in the begining...and that swivel cord its wonderfull, but most important it only takes me 20 minutes to do my hair thanks to the 5 ultra high heat levels.

I used this product every few days for six months... it worked very well, and I have thick thick THICK hair that frizzes up three hours BEFORE it rains. My hair never frizzed when it was straightened with this, even in rain (when under an umbrella, at least...) But, like my last Conair straightener, which was from an older collection, it just stopped working one day, out of no where. It turned on but did not heat up. And I was stupid enough to throw out the warranty card when I first bought it...

I've used tons and tons of straiteners in the past. I've had a few that I actually loved. One being the "Conair UltraHot Ceramic" and the "Infiniti". Both have there ups and downs. I think that I prefered Conair Ultra Hot Ceramic because it left my hair shiney and soft. The Infiniti gets extremely hot and I think it drys out my hair, but it does straiten my horrible curly hair.

A warning to those who buy the Conair Ultrahot Ceramic straitner.. I had to buy two because of the cord was faulty.

Either than that I do recommend both products.

Well I have had trouble finding the perfect hair straightener. Usually I would buy the cheaper models by conair but I went out on a limb and thought to myself I would buy the more expensive version. Needless to say it didn't work out for me. THIS HAIR STRAIGHTENER RIPPED MY HAIR OUT OF MY HEAD!! The plates did not go together evenly and so it did not do the best job at straightening, unless you want to squeeze it as hard as you can while using. Which I know isn't as pleasent and it seems... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARTICULAR MODEL!!

I tried sooooo many straighteners and none would work on my curly hair! I got this one and LOVED it! It have had it for YEARS. It is starting to not work (the wire is loose and just shuts off) but I can honestly say that I got such good use out of it. I've had it for 5 years and used it probably 4-5 times a week. Before using the Infiniti my hair was frizzy, dull looking. After using it, my hair is beautiful! Silky, smooth & I love the shine! I've tried cheaper straighteners before with horrible results. The Infiniti achieves the looks I desire quickly & easily. I use it on my 3 daughters hair & 5 yr old grand daughter every chance I get. We're amazed how well it works on all different hair types. From extremely long frizzy hair to even straight hair. The results are amazing! My whole family loves what The Conair Infinity Straightener. Even my husband loves the results that it gives me after doing my hair! I definitely do recommend The Conair Infiniti.

The only two down sides... No heat pad to protect surfaces and a bit heavy when working for long periods of time.

my aunt bought me the infiniti 2" and with in 3 months a wire broke in the swivel and then another 3 months it broke again. so my uncle fixed it again and it broke again so i figured I'd just get rid of it. but when it did work. This product impressed me quite a lot. I had been dissapointed with a recent hair straightener I had purchased from Conair, but I had heard good things about their products, so I gave them another chance. I did a look around for some reasonable prices, and specific features I would need to tackle my curly hair, and I bought this product for Christmas.

Now, let me tell you, some of my friends have amazing straighteners that they purchased from salons from 100 dollars to 500 dollars. After I straightened my hair, I could instantly see great results. My hair appeared very silky, smooth and most importantly, STRAIGHT. I used a dab of styling cream to lock in the style, and voila, PERFECTION!

I recieved salon quality for under 100 dollars, and this product has restored my faith in Conair. Anyone considering purchasing this product should not wait any longer. I have read testimonials for products before, thinking they are all lies and untrue, but I can confidently say that I support this product 100 %. [And even if you for some crazy reason don't enjoy this product, you have a FIVE year warranty]

I have not actually purchased the product YET! My co worker styled my hair for me with her infiniti 2" and I am in love with this thing! It does a great job, as good if not better than when I had my hair straightened at the salon, I am thoroughly impressed and am going to buy this VERY soon! I tried another flat iron and it just didn't get the wave out of my hair, but with this flat iron, it just smoothed everything right out, and there was no use of hair styling gel or anything like that, I just can't say enough about this product. I used to blow dry straight then have to curl the ends. Used to take me 2 hours to do my hair. I just bought this one and now it only takes me 25 minutes or so. I have super thick and curly hair. Very gentle even on the highlighted areas of my hair.

Ive used the super expensive straighteners that run ne where from $100-$200 but this one works just just as well if not better. My hair can be difficult to mangage but this straightener makes my hair look like its naturally straight and keeps it shiny and frizz free. And my hair stays straight all day. Its really easy to use and great to take with you ne where u go. I think everyone should get one of these. Ive got a few friends to pick one up and they love it too.

This straightener seemed excellent. HOWEVER, each of our 3 daughters got one. The first one only lasted four months and then went dead, The second one lasted six months and then it too no longer heated up. The third one is still working 7 months and counting. But two bad out of three!!!! I don't know?
