Blasts that stinky crud from between my teeth, excavates the loose fillings and popcorn chad; keeps my breath nice and sweet. Used for several years before hose leaks; repaired by opening and shorting hose.
Have used the WaterPiks (leakers), several Viadent (great machines, no longer available locally), Braun (pure Junk), InterPlaks (current alternatives). With a mouth full of crowns, I use these things daily, morning, noon, and night in conjunction with brushing and flossing!
Basic parts, such has hose and tip support (not hard to replace), larger tanks and lid should be available.
The latest one is lighter than the my first which may not augur well.

When the output drops to the unusable level there are no instructions as to how to repair. I would recommend, but caution on this point.

Pump lost pressure quickly, a real weak part of this unit.

I am paralised on the left side of me head and this device works by truly "cleaning" that side of my mouth that I cannot feel.

I love this product, and the Dentist recomeded this to my husband because he will not floss. and I use it as well, even though I floss.
Comments about Conair Interplak reg Dental Water Jet:
Hole in the tubing/hose seems to be a common problem with these water jets due to high pressure and aging of the plastic-like material. The hose is not available as a replacement part according to customer service. I think it might be difficult to replace. Anyway, looking at it from an engineering point of view, the design does not facilitate replacement of the part. Only solution is replacement of the entire water jet system.

Comments about Conair Interplak reg Dental Water Jet:
Earlier models had a heavier, more powerful pump and worked wonderfully. The current models are obviously more cheaply made and don't provide adequate water pressure.

It does wear out too quickly, and when you try to take the cup off to clean it the bottom waer the little black washer is breaks then it leaks every where. I replaced the cup several times.

This is a great product, I've been using the WP-70w for 8-10 years now. However, here lately they seem to be very unreliable. I'm on my third one for this two year warranty and it is making the same noise as the one they replaced just weeks ago. By the way this warranty expires Feb 2008!!

Comments about Conair Interplak reg Dental Water Jet:
I was using it twice a day for more than 10 years. Finally the tubing cracked twice. The first time I repaired the tubing but it broke again in different place. Cannot complain, after 10 years will buy new one. I also tried an other brand but did not like it as the handle and pick are bigger and does not drain the reservoir completely.
