I used it all the time on me or with my son. Owned for three years until my hairdreser on Argentina ask me for it, because there is nothing like it over there, so am getting another , work very well for me.

I have had this curling iron for a couple of years and I love it. I have very straight and thin hair with a double crown. I use this tool to curl my crown to make it full and the straightener to straighten the rest with a little under curl at the ends. It is very versatile. Mine broke a few days ago-the spring in the curling portion snapped so I can't curl with it anymore. I am going to buy another one. I am very hard on curling irons and this is the best one I've ever used.

I use the product almost everyday! But after a year... the curling piece that keeps your hair in place while curling... became all wierd and wouldn't hold my hair in place even with my thick hair.

Personally I loved this product, although I had my doubts at 1st it turned out great! I have really thick coarse hair and it gets it super straight gets rid of my frizz and it makes my hair shiny. The only complaint i might have is just I wish the heating plates were a little bigger but other than that its wonderful I LOVE IT =D

I got this today and i couldnt get it out of its packaging fast enough! I broke my last flat iron about a month ago so i was so excited to get a new one. It heated up in 30 seconds like it said it would and i went to work on my hair. I loved how it left my hair straight and shiny but after a while i noticed my finger started to hurt. It was because the way you push down to keep your hair tight in the lock the thingy was at a horrible angle that bent my finger back.I love the way it straightens but its not worth my finger hurting and being red afterwards. :(

i've had this product for about 3 years and it still works fine. Not recommended for curling your hair; the curls turn striaght after a while. I don't like how the buttons are on the outside bcuz my finger accidently turns it off sometimes which get annoying. You have to do multiple strokes to get it straight if you have thick hair of if your straightening a big strand. It doesn't get super hot. i would recommend this straightener for ppl with thin hair.

This product over all is pretty good. i've had it for 2 years and its just starting to take longer than a minute or two to heat up and isn't as hot. it does snag you hair sometimes which gets really annoying but otherwise its a good buy for cheap! i would definelty recommend it to someone with hair like mine!

I was severely disappointed in this product...I have thick frizzy hair, and thought that with the different settings it would be a great upgrade from my ghetto one I had been using...WRONG!!It did heat up, but didn't keep my hair straight for long, and at that it wasn't "salon" straight to begin with! The curling part was not effective either, and I was annoyed by the cord, and clumsy design. I will not be getting another, I will go for quality this time,something more professional maybe. I guess if you have thin hair it might be great. I love conair, just wasn't thrilled with this product!

I use the product a couple of times a week, otherwise let my hair go "natural". Even with limited use, the end piece with the locking mechanism broke off in less than a year. It worked well to smooth wavy, frizzy hair, although I also use a straightening product. But after reading others' issues with quality, I don't plan to buy another.

I love this curling/ flat iron, I have been using it for years. As an African American, it is hard to find a curling/ flat iron that works perfect in my hair but this one is fantastic. My first one broke after atleats 3 years of daily use and I went straight to the store to buy a new one, I love it!

THis Straightener works great. Only if they had a straightener that makes your hair resistent to humidity! Well the only thing i have to say about this straightener is that it snaggs and "holds on" to the ends of your hair and pulls out strands of hair evey once and a while. BUt just resciently a bolt on the side that holds the straightener together fell out. And i care for my straiheren dont throw it around or slam it down. and i had got it for Christmas And its August. 8 months. Thats not that long........So time for a funeral and to Addopt another.

I used this after previously owning a Conair flat iron, and I have to say that I like the first one a lot better. This one may of heated up faster, but the actual "ceramic" plate is very tough on my hair. I noticed that I had hair falling out and extra breakage after the products use.
breakage = frizzy hair = bad hair day = :p

I've had it for almost 3 yrs now and it still works great. When I straighten on humid days my hair stays straight and without any styling products. I wish it wasn't as heavy, but it's not bad.

It works well, however not so well if you have vary long hair. It is hard to get to areas when using on your own and a pain in you hand if you have think or curly hair.

I bought this curling iron/straightener 4 years ago and have used it practically every day since. It makes my hair so shiny. I got up this morning and mine wouldnt work. Guess four years of use had something to do with it. I am definitely purchasing another one. I get so many compliments on how great my hair looks and it doesnt damage at all! I used it when I lived in Nevada where it was dry and arid and now in NC where it is humid. Works great everywhere!

I purchased this last night and checked to see how the locking worked and after several trys, I got it locked but when I opened the curl lever, it poped open and broke the lock. Now I have to return it.

To use it you plug it in, then it takes about 30 seconds to heat up. After you press the handle and use it on your hair. It is not that great of a product because after you use it for a little while it gets worn out.

ok so i've had this one for like 2 months and it randomlyd decides not to turn. honestly i've bought three conairs. mostly because they are the only ones at the drug store but they don't work for very long. DON'T BUY if you excpect it to last

This product is great. I use it when getting ready for church and it does a great job. It is great for lightly curling my hair at the ends and straightening. Mine Broke so I got another in a different brand (which sucked) now I am getting another conair. I love these curlers

I bought this curling iron to CURL my hair. It was the only Conair brand in that size on the rack. I figured the straignter made it a great two-for-the-price-of-one. I was wrong. It doesn't curl the length, just the tips. I tried pressing harder on the clamp & used a variety of holding products. Also, as I un-wind the curl, the lock feature at the tip of the iron would get snagged on my hair almost every time, therefore pulling out any curl I had managed to get. I would suggest this over a flat iron because it's great for straightening, but don't use it if you intend to get a curl.

I found the flat iron handy but the curling iron clamp doesn't hold on to your hair. It produces a curl at the end of your hair but not the entire length.

I have it for a while but didn't bother to use, but when I started using it I can't stop, I use it everyday. It doesn't make my hair frizzy and did what it supposed to do and my hair stays shinny too.

It's so nice to have one product that will do both curl and straighten. I do both everyday and always had to use two products. The only thing that I wasn't too happy about is that it didn't last as long as I had hoped so I had to order another one.
