Let me start off by saying, as a guy, my hair's fairly thick/wavy, yet ever since I started straightening, it became addictive since that's the only style I can go with now. I've been through 3 irons before this one (3/4" ceramic, thermal shine, and shine effects with the fabric coating) - all of them disappointing me later on by breaking, damaging my hair, and starting to emit that nasty burning smell - and decided to do a little research before just jumping into a new one. So I read the other comments here.

The 16 people who all gave great reviews, WEREN'T JOKING AROUND. This professional 2" iron lives up to it's hype so far. I'm only judging by the first use but you do NOT need to press hard, move the iron slowly, make multiple passes, etc - this gets the job done efficiently, quickly, and amazingly well. I don't even feel any damage, the iron heats up quick, feels stable so far, and - as an added bonus - it sure is sleek. ^_^

I had this straightener for a long time, and I used it almost every day. It broke after about two years of constant use, and I was devastated. Needless to say, I looked around for the exact same model, and I'm so grateful I was able to find it. This straightener is the best one I have ever owned, and I've gone through quite a few. I even had a [$] straightener that comes nowhere near this one. My hair is a total mess naturally; wavy, frizzy, flyaway, etc. Because of this I straighten my hair almost everyday. You would think this would damage my hair horribly, but this straightener is like magic. Even after all these years, my hair is still shiny and strong. I have long hair, and I love having it stick straight. This straightener gets the job done, and how! If you're in the market for a good straightener, look no further. This thing is amazing; the price is a total bargain. I would gladly pay one hundred bucks for this beauty.

I bought it for my daughter, Who is so self-conscious about her hair that is slightly wavey and it worked so quick, hair very shinny and easy to do, so prefect for such a fussy 10 yr old, It was the best thing to see her so HAPPY! And excited!, That it took approx, 6 min, instead of 30 min to do her hair, We just LOVE IT.

I used this product 4 to 6 times a week for about 10 and a half months and all of the sudden it quit working. The lights would flash like it was working, but it never heated up. It worked amazing well until then.

This is an awesome straightener! I was at my friend's house and my hair had lost its straightness in the day. She turned it on and I was surprised at how fast it heated up verses how slow mine did. I started using it and liked how it smoothes and straightened my hair (even in VERY humid weather) so much, I just kept using it until my friend had to pry it out of my hands!

I used my friends 2" Professional Ceramic Straightener by Conair and it only took me 20 minutes to straighten my hair (normally 45 minutes) and the next day i bought my own

this straightener works very well, it heats up fast and gets the job done. My hair is a bit damaged but it somehow keeps my hair looking very healthy which is a real pro.

I have extremely long, frizzy hair, and it can be so hard to control. Ive tried many different straightners, pricey and cheap, but when i bought this one about a year ago, it was amazing. It only takes about thirty mins to straighten my whole head :] ILOVEIT!

I love this flat iron! I've had it for about a year now and it works great. My hair is really frizzy. After I use it my hair looks gorgeous. I always get compliments on how pretty my hair looks. My only problem with this flat iron is that today it didn't heat up, not even after 10 minutes. I touched it and it was still ice cold. I was obviously devastated because I depend on my flat iron so much. I have read other reviews about Conair flat irons and this seems to be a common problem. Conair needs to address this problem so that there wont be any more women crying when their falt iron randomly decides no to work. Other than that, I LOVE this flat iron and am going to buy a new one just like it!

My daughter has had this model for a few years.I tried it and absolutely loved it.Unable to find it locally, so I tried others-even more expensive ones-and there is no comparison!I don't even need styling products in my hair with this.My hair is super straight and amazingly healthy looking.Now I am trying to track one down online so I have my own to use when my daughter is not home!
