Comments about Conair Compact Fabric Steamer:
I use distilled water because the tap water here is very hard. It takes 8 minutes to heat up. Steamer gets very hot which is good to use however one needs to be careful. For storage and use I leave steamer on the floor behind the door and have the steamer head stretched up to hang on the over-door-hanger. During use, the hose needs to be stretched straight up so the steam comes out evenly, otherwise it sputters very hot water. I only use this on lightweight fabrics and when done I turn off & unplug the steamer and leave it where it is because it's very hot - you don't want to attempt to move it. I leave the steam head on the over-door-hanger, so any moisture rolls back down the tube into the tank. I do top off the tank before every time I use it and it's good for several garments before running out of water - so this item is good for daily short use. To add water to the tank one has to disconnect the hose where all the steam is so you only want to put more water in when it's cold. Handy product.

This little gadget is a life saver. Whenever I want my clothes to be wrinkle free, I don't have to worry about hauling out the iron and the ironing board. I just fill up the steamer and it's good to go! Not only is it great for wrinkles, but also items that are dry clean only. This steamer gently cleans items that are otherwise non machine washable. The only con is that steamers don't remove stains.
