I owned 3 different Conair SU5 models and I loved them. They would run indefinitely and you could mix or blends sounds. For whatever reason the blending of white noise and a running stream helps me sleep the best. This machine only offers one sound at a time which often begins to sound like a pattern that bothers sleep. And when it shuts off in an hour it usually wakes us both up. Please offer a unit like the SU5 again!!!!!!!!!!!!

This would be a great machine if it had continuous run mode. 60 minutes MAX is a HUGE oversight. I wake up as soon as the noise stops ... kind of defeats the purpose.

This would be perfect with the sounds to help adults and children to go to sleep at night. However, the auto timer does not work for us. We need it to stay on all night long. Gonna have to return. Please offer one that stays on all night long.

I use this product to relax me prior to falling asleep instead of watching TV. I like fact you can select what type of sound you want to hear, you can set the volume, you can or not use a night light, and you can set the timer to go off instead of running all night long. You don't need it on while you're sleeping - just to relax better.

I too was disappointed that it could not be set to run all night. But most times an hour is enough to get to sleep. I have ringing in my ears that kept me up at night; the wave sound is good for covering up the ringing. I'd like a more realistic wave, though.

I'm a light sleeper and bought the machine for white noise. Unfortunately, the maximum amount of time it will run is 1 hour. When it goes off, I wake up. Not good for my purposes.

I had an older version of this product, which I used in my daughters' room at night. It was especially useful when traveling with an infant and toddler. When the old one wore out, I bought this new model to replace it. Unfortunately, this new model lacks one of the most necessary features in a product of this kind...the ability to leave it on all night. This oversight (or change in design) renders it useless for my purposes. The longest it will remain on is 60 minutes, which doesn't even cover naptime. I will be returning this model. It is worth noting, however, if you do not need the constant 'on' feature, it's a great little machine at a very affordable price.

Great to have all the different sound choices to choose from. My prior sound machine only had three so this was an upgrade. However, it doesn't meet my needs since it won't stay on more than 60 minutes. I immediately wake up when it shuts off. I will have to go back to my portable fan to keep me asleep.

I bought this item for myself and am now purchasing two more to give to friends and relatives. I absolutely love it. In the past, I found similar items
somewhat expensive, but this is affordable and doesn't require batteries, which can be costly.
I love nature and am just excited about being able to take those sounds into my home and enjoy them whenever I feel the need.

Falling asleep in a noisy environment can be hard. That's why I decided to try this product and it made a huge difference. My daughter and her small children live with us and now instead of their playing and noises I can fall asleep to soothing sounds.

The ONLY thing I really get frustrated with about this product is that there is no way to have it run continuously without shutting off after the maximum 60 minutes and when it shuts off, I frequently wake up. Since it's not battery-powered I would love the ability to have it run until I shut it off myself. That would make it a 5-star product in my opinion.

I received this as a gift and was dismayed to find out you can only use it for 60 minutes at a time MAX. In the words of SOUNDMAN "I use sound machines to fall asleep. The biggest reason for the sound machines is to stay asleep." What good is a machine that you need to re-set each 60 minutes. No where in the description was this feature explained. Makes no sense.I will try to return it.

Great product with one deal-breaking flaw - you MUST use the timer (15 - 60 minutes). You can't use it all night. Just like another reviewer here, I use mine all night long to help me stay asleep. But here, the sound shuts off after max 1 hour. I cannot fathom why they didnt include an option to turn the timer off. I have a previous conair model and it has no such restriction.

I use sound machines to fall asleep. The biggest reason for the sound machines is to stay asleep.I'm a light sleeper and there is no way to stop the auto shut off. So when it shuts off I wake up and it doesn't block noise when it's off. I've purchased many sound machines and they have all had the option (even battery operated ones) to have it operate all day or all night. Why would anyone want it off in 30 minutes? Good sounds for the price, if I had not returned it.

I really enjoy this product, this is the best version of this type of product I have found. I use this system all the time and have purchased a few for my firends. The only con (not that bad) is that the sounds don't cyle they require a manual change. I would have liked to see an added "random" button. I have tryed a few other brands and still come back to this one.
