I purchased this scale about 8 months ago and initially was pleased with the product. I like that it's compact, has digital readout and memory settings. However, the readout on the various measurements (water %, bodyfat%, bmi, bone mass, etc.) are VERY dim and hard to read while you're standing on the scale. I usually ended up pressing display a couple times so I could write down my measurements for tracking purposes.

After about 4 months, the scale required more than just a tap to turn it on... more of a hard step on the corner. After a few weeks of that, the display wouldn't come on at all unless you actually lifted up one side of the scale and dropped it back down on the floor to create an impact that seemed to jar the display into life again. Unfortunately, that only worked for about a month and then the scale's display stopped working completely. I changed the batteries and everything, but nothing worked.

So I got about 6 months of useful life out of this product. Very disappointing would be a mild way to describe my feelings about this waste of money.

Not sure why the "tap on" activation isn't working. Purchased this today and when I opened and tried to use it, no "0.0." [...] I'm doing WW using the online tools only and thought a new scale would be good since I'm not going to meetings to get weighed.

I bought this scale 18 months ago and it no longer records my weight correctly. I replaced the battery, thinking that was the problem. It didn't help. My weight varies by 15 lbs from one hour to the next.
